Factory worker loses hand requesting N50 million compensation

Anthony Effiong a 23 year old who accidentally lost his right hand from the wrist, by a molder at a plastic company manufacturing. Anthony said this was caused by his indian head of operations in the factory who had increased the spead of the machine without letting him know.
The victim who hail from Akwa Ibom is now demanding a compensation of N50 million from the manufacturing company for his disability. Although the management earlier promised to render medical support to buy him an artificial hand and compensate him in full but has since then not kept to their promise.
He told The Guardian that his N850 daily pay was barely enough to Carter for his transport fare. However, he had no other option but to engage him self with the job of a machine operator since there is no job in the Nigerian labour market.
