Buhari’s aide cautions 2face against peace breach
The National Coordinator South of the Buhari Support Organisation (BSO) Pastor Folorunso Longe has warned Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2face Idibia, or 2Baba against his planned protest slated for Monday in Lagos State and Abuja.
Longe who was the former national financial secretary of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), one of the legacy parties of the APC told Daily Trust Friday in Abuja that Idibia’s action was an incitement as he was sponsored by corrupt persons to blackmail the President and frustrate the anti-corruption war.
“People seem to largely ignore Idibia and the consequences of his action, but they have failed to realise that he is acting like the young man throwing stones in the market but who was only being used by some elders supplying the stones for selfish reasons.
“This blackmail was to stop the ongoing anti-corruption efforts and stop the probe of some corrupt persons. It is unfortunate that Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State and one lawyer Ebun Adegoruwa were backing him and asking the police not to do their job,” Longe said.
He said Idibia lackked capacity to hold such rally if he was not being sponsored by some persons.
He urged the Police not only to stop the rally but to also investigate and prosecute the mastermind, wondering why the rally was not held in Otukpo Benue State or Uyo Akwa Ibom State.
He said the plan protest would definitely be hijacked by hoodlums and that the Police should not watch by when few individuals threatens the subsisting peace of the land.
