Diego Costa speaks on purported move to China
Chelsea striker, Diego Costa, has ridiculed fresh speculation linking him with a big-money move to the Chinese Super League in the summer.
The Spain international was the subject of interest from Tianjin Quanjian in the January transfer window.
Costa was left out of the Blues’ squad for their 3-0 win at Leicester City after a reported bust-top with coach Antonio Conte in training.
But he has since been restored to the first team and played in their last two Premier League fixtures against Hull City and Liverpool.
However, on Friday, Cadena SER reported that he has reached an agreement to move to China at the end of the season.
Costa reacted angrily to the claims in an Instagram post, writing: “They talk too much shit!!! Come on Chelsea.”
Conte also played down the reports in his Friday press conference ahead.
“I don’t know, but every week I hear a lot of news and a lot of speculation about Diego,” the former Juventus boss said.
“I think now the most important thing is to be focused on this championship and we are in a good position.
“Diego is an important player for us and he is happy. This is the most important thing. The summer is a long way away.”
Costa is the current joint-top goalscorer in the Premier League alongside Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez with 15 goals
